Jetty Park
Jetty Park is a gorgeous ocean-facing park which has a beach, pavilions, tackle shop, picnic tables and camping. The park’s 1200 foot pier is very popular as it allows great views of marine traffic entering/exiting Port Canaveral, and rewarding fishing for mullet, ladyfish and redfish. The long sandy Atlantic-facing beach offers lots of facilities including year-round lifeguards, convenient parking, restrooms and freshwater showers. The lively Cove Waterfront area sited between the park and the port has bars, shops and restaurants. The park is part of the Port, and is situated to the south side of the port exit channel.
Astronaut Hall of Fame
The US Astronaut Hall of Fame honors American astronauts. See a fascinating range of memorabilia including the Sigma 7 Mercury rocket, space suits, a realistic astronaut training simulator and the Science On A Sphere exhibit. The Hall of Fame is about 4 miles westwards from the Space Center.
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Center
Even if you’re not old enough to recall Apollo 11’s amazing flight most people are excited by the concept of traveling to space. The Kennedy Space Center is the core of NASA’s operations and served as the launch pad for the famous landing on the moon missions. At the Center you can go to the LC39 Observation Gantry and the Apollo/Saturn V Center, see a space movie at the IMAX center, learn about what the future holds for space exploration at the Exploration Space exhibition and enjoy the Shuttle Launch Experience. The Space Center is around 9 miles northwards from the port.
Cocoa Beach
Originally built in 1962 Cocoa Beach Pier is among the most recognized landmarks on Florida's Space coast. The pier offers four bars, souvenir shops, frequent live street entertainment and 5 restaurants. The beach by the pier has beach-hire concessions, restrooms, freshwater showers and all year life guards. Cocoa Beach is positioned just 3 miles south of Port Canaveral.

Head west from the Port on Highway 528 to reach fabulous attractions like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, EPCOT and Sea World of Florida all of which are no more than an hour’s car drive away.
