Sydney Opera House

Sydney Opera House, positioned on Sydney Harbour at Bennelong Point, is considered by many to be amongst the archictectural wonders of the world. Designed by Jorn Utzon and constructed with much controversy, the landmark building was inaugurated in 1973.  If your schedule allows, watch an opera, a concert or a ballet.. The Opera house is a short walk along the coast from the Overseas Passenger Terminal.


The Rocks

The Rocks is the oldest part of the city, and lots of of the structures here are excellently conserved, for instance Campbells Storehouse, Susannah Place, the Merchants House and Cadman’s Cottage.  Integrated into this historical district, the visitor will find galleries, restaurants, bars, shops and cafes. The Rocks area is next to Circular Quay.


Royal Botanic Gardens

The beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens is an open green space situated between the ocean and the busy city center. A walkway leads around the sea front, giving great views over Sydney Harbour and Farm Cove.


Sydney Harbour Bridge

Sydney Harbour Bridge has a footpath giving easy access to the visitor. Call at the Pylon Lookout on the southern end of the bridge to see an absorbing  display on how the bridge was made.  The energetic can join the Sydney Harbour Bridge climb, a 3 ½ hour climb to the top of the bridge.  The climb takes you up catwalks, ladders and girders at day or night.  


Bondi Beach

Bondi Beach is known across the world as a surfing Mecca. During the summer months Bondi is a centre for surf, sun and fun. The white sandy beach has a magnificent outlook over a large crescent shaped bay of deep blue water. Bus no 380 from Circular Quay will get you there in about forty minutes.
